Their monster third album Born A Dying Breed’ will be released on 3rd Nov and it sees the band really ramping things up a notch, huge chunky hard rock tracks intermingled with some sublime songs showcasing their lighter touch, this truly is a fabulous album and should see them rise through the ranks with speed.

Northants rockers STORMBRINGER formed in summer 2011 when founding members Jon Quantrill, Dom Wallace, Ash Smith and Darren McCullagh got together to write and create what would become the 2013 debut album ‘MMXIII’, recorded with vocalist Mike Stockley. A mix of classic rock and heavy metal with a contemporary edge saw Stormbringer quickly set themselves apart. After successful years gigging including shows at Download Festival and a main stage appearance at Bloodstock Open Air Festival, inspiration and determination was high when work began on what would be their second album. Jimi Brown replaced the vocals in the line-up and became part of the band late 2014, completing the recording of ‘Blood and Rust’, released in Oct 2015. Stormbringer would carry on to feature on Scuzz TV, in Metal Hammer magazine and would complete gigs, tours and shows all over the UK.

Their latest album ‘Born a Dying Breed’ is released through Attic Records on November 3rd 2017 kicking off a November/December tour. Jamie Peters joins the band on guitar completing the line-up that delivers STORMBRINGER’s all-out live show.

Frontiers Music Srl will release PINK CREAM 69’s new album, “Headstrong“, on November 10.
The first track from the disc, “We Bow To None“, can be streamed below.

“Headstrong” marks the thirtieth anniversary of the German/British hard rockers PINK CREAM 69. And what better way to celebrate than by adding yet another gem to their already spectacular discography. Produced by bassist (and renowned producer) Dennis Ward, “Headstrong” sees the same line-up from 2013’s well-received “Ceremonial” album return to deliver fans another hard-rocking set of quality songs and is their twelfth studio album overall. As a special treat, the new release includes a bonus live album featuring songs from across the band’s catalogue.

Ward says: “When we released our first album in 1989, we were proud to be a ‘guitar band’ that yielded powerful guitar riffs and soaring vocal melodies.

“Since the release of ‘Ceremonial’, it became evident to us that we had to take a step back to be able to make two steps forward, so we made a ‘master plan’: to resurrect our earliest form of songwriting incorporating these riffs and melodies, reducing the amount of keyboards and keeping the production to a minimum of sonic layers in order to be as true as possible to our sound — the sound of fat and crunchy guitars.

“I feel that the new ‘Headstrong’ album is a high-energy recording that redeems us as the powerful rock ‘n’ roll band we used to be.

“After weeks of cross checking the production, listening to the CD in my car, I take great pride in saying ‘mission accomplished.’ We look so very forward to presenting our new ‘baby.'”

PINK CREAM 69 was founded in 1987 by singer Andi Deris, guitarist Alfred Koffler, drummer Kosta Zafiriou, who were later joined by bassist Dennis Ward. Deris left the band in 1994 and after auditioning various singers was replaced by Englishman David Readman.

The official lyric video for the song “We Can Not Be Silenced” can be seen below. The clip features several fellow musicians (see below) in the form of mugshots.

Said Schmier: “It is a hot topic: How much of your personal freedom are you willing to sacrifice for our safety? When I dived into this subject and the whole Edward Snowden story, it has really caught me and I had to write a song about it. Is he a hero or a traitor? He is a very smart man for sure that showed the world the truth about the monitored surveillance system worldwide.

“The idea to bring fellow friends and musicians into the lyric video was very exciting. We are all free minds and global citizens of this world. I hate to see all we have achieved drifting apart again.

“The song itself is a really catchy powerful smasher with my fave solo from Pontus of the whole record.

“I hope people enjoy the music and the topic itself is something worth reading about.

“I have a lot of respect for free spirits and mankind needs them to NOT drift into chaos and war again.

“I know many metalheads don’t wanna deal with politics but this affects all of us in the end!”

Musicians featured in the clip:

Andreas “Gerre” Geremia (TANKARD)
Mille Petrozza (KREATOR)
Thomas “Angelripper” Such (SODOM)
Sabina Classen (HOLY MOSES)
* Max Cavalera (SOULFLY)
Mat Sinner (PRIMAL FEAR)
Victor (ALMANAC)

Fredrik and Emil (LANCER)

“Fatal Command” lives and breathes heavy metal like a few other albums of recent years do. It is a monolith of a record on which the tempestuous music, the provocative artwork and Schmier‘s social criticism come together under a metallic and indestructible hide, courtesy of Little Creek Studio in Basel, Switzerland. One thing, however, is setting “Fatal Command” apart from the perfect heavy metal record: “There’s no ballad! But as the singer, I wanted to spare mankind,” Schmier laughs. Consequently, PÄNZER prefer to hit the throttle and concentrate on kicking as much ass as possible. “Fatal Command” proudly wears the insignia that so many current bands are lacking, a bold statement against wimps and posers. PÄNZER swear a solemn oath on “Fatal Command”: They will be true to heavy metal in good as well as in bad times, in sickness and in health. They will love it and honor it all the days of their lives until death does them part. Amen!

In a recent interview with Metal Master KingdomSchmier said about PÄNZER: “Lineup changes are always a little difficult, but, basically, the backbone of the band didn’t change at all; we kept everything rolling. And it’s great fun. To me, it’s a great alternative to play heavy metal — just straight metal and maybe very German also. And there’s no limits; we just do what we want. There’s no high expectations that we have to sound like this or that; we just praise the good old fucking metal.”

Regarding the musical direction of “Fatal Command”Schmier said: “It’s a lot of JUDAS PRIESTACCEPT… but there’s also a lot of fast-forward music. There’s no ballads… I think the new one is even more melodic [than the first one]. There’s some really catchy choruses and nice hooklines, a lot of great lead guitars, double harmonies everywhere and stuff.”

Pulver and Norgren officially joined PÄNZER in December. At the time, V.O. stated about his decision to hook up with Schmier and Stefan: “After producing the debut with PÄNZER, the guys asked me to help them out live to help provide the double axe-attack on stage. Of course I took the opportunity to rock out with my buddies. And when the chance came up to join them permanently, I didn’t hesitate to accept and now I can’t wait to play the sound of my youth!”

Norgren was just as excited to join the heavy metal war machine. “It was not a hard decision when I got asked to join the PÄNZER project; it was a straight-up YES!” he said. “To be able to create music with good friends is the most important thing in my world and in this band, having fun when making music, is number one. I’m looking forward to all of the craziness that the future is going to bring with these guys. So let’s kick some serious…!”
